Elections in Nigeria have become progressively worse over the years. They are riddled and marred by violence in the highest order - kidnapping, murder, assassinations, all geared towards intimidation and theft of the peoples votes and mandate. This has seriously affected Nigeria's reputation and international strategic significance.

People's Mandate Movement (PMM) electoral revolution project is a viable option in reversing Nigeria's self inflicted downward spiral. The membership count of all Nigerian political parties presently is estimated at 3 million. This number is very insignificant in a country with 150 million people. This means that a lot of Nigerians are disenfranchised in the system, because they know that their votes would not be counted but thrown away. PMM will reach out to all and sundry, including the disenfranchised. This will result in large voters turnout - people that never voted in the past, now voting. The large number of disenfranchised votes certainly would be cast for PMM endorsed candidates. PMM's deterrence measures against electoral fraud and rigging will produce near free and fair election. PMM is equally ready for any blatant rigging of the election( refer to PMM Mandates below). People's Mandate Movement(PMM) Mission is the solution.

PMM must deliver Nigeria to the people in 2011. This she would achieve by endorsing credible candidates that will honestly serve the people and lead the nation to greatness. Mobilized regular and disenfranchised voters will make the rest history for Nigerians - the ushering-in of the people's government.

PMM pioneers have worked diligently since 1997 on the best methodology on mobilizing our people on reclaiming Nigeria through the ballot box. The project has been so successful that today PMM is directly or indirectly associated with media outfits generating over 18 million hits a month, an anthem "God Bless Arica" judged the best in the African Union Symbols Competition and a song "Nigeria Rock" that will send the right message to the youths in 2011. All these PMM achieved with minimal funding and without godfathers but support of Nigerians.

We need a change for posterity in Nigeria, and this is only possible with the right leadership. Internet, information technology and media can be very powerful if used skillfully, and the combination of these with conventional political ground campaign will produce in Nigeria the needed miracle as in Obama's case. This is basically what Obama used to overcome the U.S. electoral impossibility, clinching the first black presidency of his great nation.

The people's campaign is already on, and is set to climax when we endorse candidates. Our campaign will run parallel to whatever our endorsed candidate has under his political party. Membership to PMM will be free, but all members will be required to donate an affordable amount to our endorsed candidate( for example N100.00/member ). We anticipate a minimum of 20 million members and each contributing N100.00 to our candidate will raise N2 billion for his campaign. We also anticipate membership in the Diaspora, where the required donation will be $20.00 minimum. A conservative 200,000 Diaspora membership will raise $4 million for the project.

Spread the news! Help rally Nigerians! Not thugs, not even guns can scare us this time around and steal our votes. We urge all Nigerians, including students and the unemployed to help with our mobilization effort. Everything in life costs money, including our people's electoral project which involves elaborate professional software and paid full time personnel. We are working on raising the initial funds and are open to suggestions and any assistance possible.

We do not have any doubt that this project will work, because it is so people oriented that only those benefiting from the current status quo will reject it. If the people raises money for a candidate to win the election, that enables the candidate to serve them without indebtedness to political sponsors that would tie his hands in government.

PMM's deterrence measures against electoral fraud and rigging will include strategies on maximizing votes and proof of PMM members votes cast. If for example 10 million of our members voted for our candidate, INEC can not assign a lower figure to him because we will be able to produce a list of our members that voted.

Power is not negotiated nor given on a platter of gold but rightfully taken through meticulous and dogged electoral planning that would deliver majority people's votes. "Power is never given but taken through majority votes or stolen through rigging by 'political' despots, gangsters, mafia, thieves and cabal." Political criminals who steal the people's mandate through rigging, rule with impunity and loot the treasury when they find sleeping men and women who would not actively take risks to exercise their freedom. (1). Mobilize and organize Nigerians so that they can channel their votes in the forthcoming 2011 general elections to the best candidates that will serve the nation and not their selfish interests.

(2). Deploy necessary means and technology that can serve as deterrence to electoral fraud and rigging.

(3). In the case of electoral fraud and rigging, validify evidence of such to the international community and Nigerian election tribunals or courts if such tribunals/courts are adjudged untainted.

(4). Involve sustained and robust issue-based voter education before and after elections, for sustenance of democracy, challenge to tyranny, dictatorship, undemocracy and protection of people's mandate expressed by the ballot and referendums.
